I'm from Britain and our parliament keeps voting that, no, it shouldn't be brought back but I believe with incredibly hard evidence then people should get the death penalty especially for things such as murder and rape.
How do you feel?

What kind of evidence?
But i fully agree, maybe the death penalty would sort our country out a bit. It might make people actually scared of the authorities for once.
For instance it was in the paper recently, That 14 year old girl got raped by 3 kids on christmas eve, and didn't want to spoil her familys christmas so she didn't tell them for 3 weeks! Those boys definatly deserve to die.

i disagree. look at the US. they have the death penalty in many places but it doesnt discourage crime at all.
we need to look at other ways to sort out crimes. like strippin jails right back down to the basics - a bucket and bed. none of this video games shit.

| we cannot be sure about that death penalty discourages the crime before we see what happens without death penalty, maybe now it is discouraged version and very bad things can occur ... without it

Clearly it is upsetting and absolutely disgusting that the 14 year old was raped by 3 boys, but do you really think the bringing back of the death penalty would have resulted in her being saved? If you think that the boys deserve to die, that is a totally different argument: you feel that they deserve to die in revenge, but it doesn't seem to me that you feel they should die in order to save it from happening again, to another girl. If that were the case, it would be easy, there would be no argument. But as stated, the US crime figures demonstrate just how weak that argument is. In Arab states, crime figures are weaker. Perhaps cutting off somebody's hand for stealing is more effective, or even castrating a rapist would be a better idea?
