A Fun Learning Opportunity: Are you interested in international politics? Would you like to see how the European Parliament operates? Would you like to discuss your vision for the future of Europe? Can you help to make a difference? Can you advise the EU? If so, then come to this conference, because at the EYS Conference - IDEA Model European Parliament, you will have a chance to become a European Parliament official - it is a great way to experience the way the European Parliament works, to learn new skills, and discuss important issues with youth from different countries. The debates will lead to advices for the EU and will be presented to the European Commission in Rome.

Who? EYS conference is for university students, secondary school students, youth workers, and educators, who care about the future of Europe.
Conference Costs? There is no conference fee! We even provide lunch, dinner and an exciting cultural evening for free. However, participants will have to pay for their own travel and accommodation costs.

Friday 16 March at KHL Amsterdam and Lloyd Hotel. Registration starts at 10.00 at KHL: Oostelijke Handelskade 44, Amsterdam.
Saturday 17 March at University of Amsterdam. Be present at 10.00 at Oudemanhuispoort 4-6, Amsterdam.

To increase young people's participation in discussion of important issues affecting their lives at local, national and European level by involving young people in various forms of deliberation such as public meetings and forums, debates, roundtables and internet debates and discussion forums, etc.
To develop advocacy skills of young people, teachers, NGO workers and community leaders by organization of debate and advocacy trainings and seminars, providing consultancy on specific European issue advocacy and advocacy campaigns related to the European issues;
To promote knowledge of the European issues throughout communities by organization and promotion of public debates (including media debates), town meetings and roundtables and thus leading to a greater understanding of what role the EU should play in the lives of European citizens and how they can influence the decision making process at the European level;
The proposed project will directly impact secondary school and university students in partner countries, teachers (primarily secondary school level) and educators as well as NGO leaders and workers (especially individuals responsible for communication and public information).
The project will indirectly impact general public who will participate in public debates and who will be the target (s) of the advocacy campaigns and potentially targets in other European countries (through on-line facilities).
In all program countries, the project will focus on involving minority groups in the project's activities: in Czech Republic and Slovakia the focus will be on the Roma minority, in Estonia and Latvia-on Russian minority and in the Netherlands - on migrant (primarily Moroccan and Turkish) minority.

operate independently yet cooperate informally with each other. This
