For the first time in its history IDEA will host its biggest single event in the Netherlands!

IDEA Youth ForumFor sixteenth time in row IDEA will host 200 young people from over 30 countries of the world at its annual summer event - the IDEA Youth Forum. The next year’s Forum will be organized in the Province of Zeeland from July 22 to August 4, 2010. This event will be co-organized by International Debate Education Association (IDEA) and Zeeland’s Institute for Social and Cultural Development (Scoop), in cooperation with the municipalities of Middelburg and Vlissingen, the Hogeschool Zeeland and the Roosevelt Academy.

Located on the border with Belgium, the Province of Zeeland offers a unique combination of easy accessibility from the biggest transportation hubs like Amsterdam, or Brussels and charming countryside and seaside.

Sharing Cultures: That's Great

Country ExpoAt the age of 15, the 2009 Youth Forum was Alima Zhunussova from Kazakhstan's third Forum. Those who have been watching her debate over the years know that her improvement has been considerable. This year her mixed team broke to quarterfinals, and Alima was ranked seventh speaker in the tournament.

iDebate: How did it feel to break to elimination rounds in the MTT and get 7th speaker ranking?

Alima: I was surprised. First of all, i didn't expect us to break to the quarterfinals with 3 wins, and secondly, i was quite shocked when they announced my name, because, as i think, it wasn't my best!
