The IDEA International Tournament of Champions for High School Parliamentary Debate Tournament will take place May 15 – 17, 2008, at Willamette University.
IDEA is once again partnering with the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press to lead an American Parliamentary Debate training May 19th-20th at the FLTRP facilities. The training is part of the FLTRP Cup, to be held in Beijing May 18th-25th.

Unity in Diversity Exchange has started in Amsterdam. Over 30 participants from the Netherlands, Romania, Estonia, Bulgaria, Slovakia and Lithuania are taking part in the training on Legislative Debate, as well as other exciting debate events.
The training at the Unity in Diversity Exchange is conducted by Veronika Vlckova, IDEA Forum Coordinator, and Marcin Zaleski, IDEA Director of Training and Curriculum.

IDEA is recruiting for a new debate trainer position in South Korea with the Korea Poly School (KPS). KPS is seeking Canadian or US citizens to teach debate to elementary and/or middle school students for at least one academic year at one of their four campuses (Daejeon, Ilsan, Mokdong, or Bundang). Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and be willing to work in Korea for one academic year.
