Steps To Attend the Institute
To attend the IDEA Institute, you need to:
1) Register and select your course track at www.idebate.org/tournaments.
2) Upon Registration, you will be emailed three items: a pre-event survey, a medical form, and a certification of release/permission form. Email the survey to icionea@umd.edu. Bring the medical form and certification of release/permission form with you to the event or send with your Institute deposit. You will not be allowed to attend the institute without the form and release.
3) Send your Institute deposit (Details on the Fees and Scholarships page.)
4) Check to see whether you need a visa and let IDEA know if you will need an invitation (Details on the travel page.) U.S. citizens will purchase a visa at the airport in Izmir.
5) Book your travel into Izmir, Turkey, arriving on June 29th and Departing on July 19th. Transportation to and from the airport in Izmir will be provided on those days.
6) Email your travel itinerary to alathrop@idebate.org by June 10th.
7) Start packing your bags! See the packing checklist under Travel and Visas.
