Five tracks are available for participants to choose from when registering. Each track functions as a student’s major. Within each track, students will take a total of three classes.

Track 1: Citizen Journalism
This track is intended for students interested in journalism and media. Students will be taking three classes: “Journalism and story writing,” “Art as advocacy,” and “Journalism and media tools.”
Track 2: Advanced Debate
This track is intended for students who have previous experience in debate and wish to specialize in a debate format (British Parliamentary, Lincoln Douglas or Worlds School). Instruction will emphasize advanced concepts in debate and argumentation and practical experience in a particular debate format. Students will be taking a class in “Advanced argumentation and debate” and two classes in their debate format of choice.
Track 3: Beginning Debate
This track is intended for students with good command of English language who are new to debate. Instruction will focus on getting students acquainted with debate terminology, critical thinking and argument construction and practice in a particular debate format. Students will be taking the “Introduction to argumentation and debate” class and also specialize in a debate format of their choice (British Parliamentary, Lincoln Douglas or Worlds School) by taking two classes in that format.
Track 4: English Through Debate
This track is intended for students who wish to enhance their English language skills while learning more about persuasion and debate. Instruction will emphasize the learning of English language through practical exercises, conversation and writing. The instructors are native English speakers and constitute a wonderful resource for perfecting one’s English. Students will be taking three classes: “Conversational English,” “English through debate,” and “Persuasive writing conventions.”
Track 5: Coaching Debate
This track is intended for individuals who coach debate or wish to become coaches. Instruction will provide participants in this track with knowledge about debate concepts and argumentation, educational tools for coaching debate and practice in coaching or learning to coach in a debate format of choice (British Parliamentary, Lincoln Douglas or Worlds School). Participants will take three classes: “Introduction to argumentation and debate” OR “Advanced argumentation and rhetoric” (depending on each person’s experience), a debate format of choice, and a third class, “Coaching debate.”
