School Fee

All participating schools must join IDEA as member schools. The fee for membership is $90. This fee will be included in your invoice. We also encourage you to use the IDEA website, www.idebate.org where students and coaches can track their debate careers and receive certificates as they achieve different levels of success.

**If you are a MSPDP school, you have already joined IDEA when you paid your league dues.

HOW TO JOIN IDEA

To join IDEA, go to www.idebate.org/registration/ and create an individual login. Next you will need to enter your club, you will be asked to affiliate with an organization. If you are NOT a MSPDP school, choose to affiliate with IDEA/MSFL. You will receive an email once your affiliation with IDEA/MSFL or MSPDP has been approved. At this point, your students may also create individual logins and identify themselves as members of your club. If you have any questions on joining IDEA, contact Nina Watkins at nwatkins@idebate.org.

Individual Fees

In addition to your school joining IDEA, there is a $15 per-student fee for entry. This fee will allow students to become individual members of IDEA, and will cover the costs of insurance for the event. Your final invoice will include this $15 per-student fee, and students will receive information about how to join IDEA as individual members.

Additional Fees

IE's, including Duet: $6
LD: $8
Public Forum, CX, and Parliamentary: $12

NOTE: There are no judging fees, although participating schools are asked to provide judging as appropriate and available.
